Call our manager, Norma Medina - 760-757-2856 and tell her what you have to discard and she will arrange for a Waste Management to pick it up at your home.  DO NOT SET LARGE ITEMS AT THE GARBAGE BINS.

If you want a 2024 MRL, ask Norma and she will get one for you.

Here is the food wish list that I will submit to Brother Benno’s each week in July --- 4 boxes of meat, 2 boxes of eggs, 2 boxes of vegetables, 1 box of pastries (cakes and pies), 1 box of bread, 4 boxes from the pantry, which include: condiments, nuts, noodles, spaghetti, peanut butter, 4 nutrition bar boxes, 20 cans (tuna, Spam, fruit, green beans and corn), coffee, tea, sweets, cheerios, granola, and oatmeal.

If for any reason at all that you cannot come and pick up food for yourself, let Donna know. We have a volunteer who will make bags and bring them to you.

 Friendly Reminders - Resident Concerns

Dog Parents —- If you have dogs that bark — please be aware that they are disturbing your neighbors. Help keep our park clean and pick up after your dogs and PLEASE don’t let them urinate on your neighbors plants. 

Neighbors are hoping that you will clean the weeds out of your gutters — not only twill it make your home more attractive but to also make it safer from water leakage. (Turn over for some weed and grass ideas.)  

Here are some homemade recommendations for yard nuisances - grass and weeds.

Salt is a natural herbicide and weed killer that can stop grass and weeds from growing. 

You can mix salt with dish soap and boiling water in a spray bottle and apply it to the ground. 

Or you can mix 2 tablespoons of Epson salt or table salt, 2 cups of white vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of dish soap. I think any brand will work but you get one without the added perfumes and other things, so look for a dish soap that is purely soap. Some people think Dawn dish soap works. 

Another Recipe — Mix together 1 gallon of white vinegar, 1 cup of salt, and 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Stir the mixture properly until fully combined. Pour the solution into a spray bottle for easy use. This mixture stays potent for a while, so store it in the same container when finished.
