November foods to order: 4 boxes of meat, 1 box of eggs, 1 box of fresh food, 4 boxes from the pantry, which include: condiments, dry beans, rice, nuts, noodles, spaghetti, peanut butter, 4 nutrition bar boxes, 20 cans (tuna, Spam, fruit, green beans and corn), coffee, tea, sweets, honey, popcorn, wheat thins,Trisects, Cheerios, granola, and oatmeal.
Be aware and watchful! Recently, an individual who was living illegally in an empty house in Oceanside Terrace was seen jumping the fence and using our park as a shortcut. The police have since arrested this person. Following the arrest, officers informed one of our neighbors that the individual is a registered violent sex offender.
The Disaster Planning Committee is making progress. Linda Slater is chairman of the committee. She is in 107 and can give you details if you are interested in attending the meetings.
Our Thanksgiving dinner is November 20, Friday at 5:00. A turkey will be provided, so please bring any of the following: salads, stuffing, baked sweet potatoes, yams, bread, mashed potatoes, pecan pies, or pumpkin pies.
